The Day You Stop Trying, is The Day You Stop Living

My New Friend, Gym

I had a great ride this morning, doing some strength efforts and TT efforts. It's harder than I thought to introduce intensity back to my riding, after such a long time off the bike... But I got it done, and felt great! The fun part of my day was then going to my new gym for the first time... Hmmmm...

Bustamove has been around for around 15 years, and it shows when you start talking to their staff. They know their stuff! My exercises involved 'free movement' routines, where I don't use things like leg presses, and machinery. I focus more on free standing lunges, squats and balance exercises. It's a little harder to do properly, but well worth it, as it utilises all your muscle groups throughout the session.

I train with ex - Olympic level Volleyball player, Luke (surname?) and he's a hard man to please! Having already trained this morning, backing it up with gym was hard going but well worth the effort.

It looks like I will be doing sessions at least twice a week, although 3 times a week would be ideal.

Thanks to Bustamove for their support of late, and here's to the coming months with them.
