The Day You Stop Trying, is The Day You Stop Living

Hard (to the) Core

Damn, I'm knackered... I looked outside today to see what the weather was doing, and had a pre-written SMS on standby to fire off to my training partner. One look outside, and I hit 'send'. "No ride today, legs are tired. Too wet out". Now what to do...

I had the best sleep-in I've had in a long time, and did I need it! But eventually I got my arse out of bed, and got dressed - time for gym instead of riding in a torrential downpour.

I've recently formed a new relationship with Bustamove in Black Rock - my first session was an overview of things to come, and wasn't overly hard. Although today was a killer! By the time I was done, I could barely walk out the door. They thought I wanted to hang around for a chat, but in reality I was just regaining my composure! Thanks guys...

After what has been an amazing week of training, and recovery from various injuries (fractured thumb, re-attached tendon in hand, bruised hip) have made it so good to be able to get back into things wholeheartedly.

The best part is the ever-growing support network I've been fortunate to establish. It's hard to comprehend my sport without it, which leads me onto my next article in a few days time.

Bustamove, thanks again!
