The Day You Stop Trying, is The Day You Stop Living

Upcoming Races

After an array of setbacks in the past 5 months, it seems my life has levelled out a bit, making things quite mundane. But rest assured, this brief period of perfection won't last too long - my racing calendar has now begun!

The Melbourne to Ballarat Handicap is being run this Saturday, just 35km out of Melbourne CBD. A 98km handicap event suited to most levels of rider, the M2B attracts a lot of riders every year. This year will be no exception, as the entry lists are quickly filling up. The event is well placed for 'one last hit-out' before the Tour of Gippsland, just 3 days after the Melbourne to Ballarat Handicap.

The course profile of the M2B is fairly consistent, and suited to your 'all-rounder' type rider. With very few major hills, it seems only strong winds could cause any concern for riders in this edition of the event. I'm not concerned, going by the weather report.

The upcoming Tour of Gippsland is also expected to be an event worth following - I'll hopefully have enough news when I get back from there...

Until next time!
